Comissions

Yes, I do take commissions on landscapes, gardens, florals and occaisionally homes or buildings. Sorry, but I don't do portraits. Below, you can see some examples of paintings that were commissioned.

The price of a commission can vary greatly depending on size, surface, whether you want to just request a specific type of painting, or provide a specific reference picture or want me to combine refrence pictures to create your own unique painting.

You are welcome to contact me about your commission idea. Use the contact button below and please be sure to include a description of your idea, if you have photo refrence pictures (they must be copyright free), what size you want and how soon you would like it completed. Don't forget to include your contact email.

Then I will email you to let you know if it is a project I feel I could consider. If it is, I will have you send me the photo references if you have them, and I will email you a contract, price quote and an estimate on how long it will take me.

I am happy to deal with inquiries and it's not a problem if you decide against it after seeing the quote and contract so feel free to contact me with your idea.

If we both agree on the price and timing, I will have you print, sign and mail two copies of the contract along with the downpayment. I will sign both copies and mail one back to you.

In my contract, I require a non-refundable downpayment that covers the cost of the materials. I will make every effort to fulfill your request - including, in some cases, doing a pre-painting sketch for your approval. The painting will be shipped after final payment is received. The price quoted will include shipping costs. If however, for any reason, you decide not to accept the painting, you are not committed to pay any more, and I keep the painting and am free to sell it if I desire.

This 16"x20" was comissioned by a daughter - for her mother. She gave me three pcitures of special landmarks from her grandparents farm (see below) and asked me to put them together into one painting. We also decided to add Grandpa with his dog, fishing in his pond.

My customer was so happy she ordered prints for herself and her brothers!
